ZFlow offers rich structured and unstructured data management capabilities to support workflow management. The primary types that are of interest include
Process Object (aka Workflow Form)
A process object is structured information that describes the business context of the process. The object (which can be complex) can be used to collect/display relevant information and for rules that determine the workflow path. Process objects typically represent business objects such as quotes, purchase orders, master data, etc.
Files/Documents
ZFlow has rich support for managing files as part of process workflows, as independent objects, or in relation to other objects. Files can also be subject to lifecycle management (version, revision, and release management) if needed.
Parts (aka Materials/Items used in ERP, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Commerce)
ZFlow is the only workflow system that provides comprehensive support for parts (also known as Materials in ERP systems, parts/items in PLM, and other business systems). As a result, ZFlow is uniquely capable of effectively supporting many business processes in Purchasing, Design/Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Maintenance Operations, and Supply Chain.
Form (for Complex Objects)
Form is a generic structured object that can also be used to represent a variety of data used in applications and business processes. Forms can be part of a workflow.
